Assist with the transportation of food and other items, both picking them up and delivering them to various locations in Regina. This includes tasks like loading and unloading vehicles, potentially using hand trucks or other equipment, and ensuring food safety during transport.
We are looking for people who are committed to child safety to help us deliver these presentations in schools to Grade K – 5 students. If you’ve ever wanted your inner actor to shine, here is a chance to use your skills and create some positive change. Volunteers who are interested are provided with education about child safety and training to be a puppeteer. You will be well supported by our staff Education and Outreach person and will receive a small honorarium for each presentation you assist with. We will schedule you for presentations according to your availability, so this is ideal for university students, people who are retired, and those with flexible work schedules!
Assist our Education Team at education information tables and presenting presentations. Opportunities for education information tables are available in the summer while presentations to schools, correctional facilities, universities, and community centres are throughout the year.
Sofia House provides support for women and children fleeing interpersonal violence. Volunteers may assist with household operations, providing administrative support, participating in fundraising events, cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe living environment for residents.
Warehouse assistants primarily help with receiving, sorting, and organizing food donations, preparing food hampers, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. They also assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles and may be involved in other tasks as needed.
If you’re 18 or older and passionate about helping immigrants and refugees feel at home, we need you. Ways to volunteer include: mentoring, language interpreting, helping newcomers with taxes, providing assistance during events, etc. Become a key part of our welcoming community and support newcomers as they settle into their new life.
Assist with leisure activities for clients age 50+. Sessions may include health and wellness classes, yoga, field trips, etc. Workshops and class schedules vary.
Help us to package condoms, Needle Exchange supplies, stamping pamphlets, and so much more! Twice a month (1st and 3rd Thursday) 5-8pm held at the APSS office.
Play games and do art activities with children while their mothers attend our workshops. Volunteers are required for workshops every Saturday morning from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Bag dry goods such as pasta, rice,cereal, etc. Clean and build boxes
Help with lunch and supper prep, light cleaning, after school snacks and crafts.
