      Assist clients who are absolute beginners to English learn the letters and sounds of the alphabet. Help clients develop specific English skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking). Scheduling is based on volunteer/client availability.

        Assist our Education Team at education information tables and presenting presentations. Opportunities for education information tables are available in the summer while presentations to schools, correctional facilities, universities, and community centres are throughout the year.

          You can change a child’s life by being a mentor. Being a Mentor means being a friend and role model. It’s about spending time together, talking, sharing, and creating happy memories.

            Assist with food and beverage preparation, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces. Volunteers may also be involved in tasks like portioning and wrapping food, using kitchen appliances to prepare food, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen.

              Assist with the preparation, delivery, and distribution of food hampers to individuals and families in need.

                We provide a variety of get together events and activities for retired persons, seniors, and elderly individuals. We need volunteers to assist with planning and preparing events and activities for our retired members, as well as general administrative work such as answering phones.

                  We are in need of volunteers for special events and for the Board. Board meetings are held at the Community Centre on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm (except for July, August and December). At the present time, all meetings take place online through the Zoom application.

                    Assist with leisure activities for clients age 50+. Sessions may include health and wellness classes, yoga, field trips, etc. Workshops and class schedules vary.
